Carbon

These figures account only for my personal air travel, since it is relatively straight-forward to estimate, and the actual figures accounting for all sources of emissions will be higher. The carbon footprint I am responsible for was unfortunately very high in 2016, 2025 and 2026, and I am aiming to substantially reduce this going forward. See how I am doing so far:

Estimated CO2 (kg) due to Air Travel

Includes future planned travel, and travel that was booked but not used. All CO2 estimates are based on the International Civil Aviation Organisation's Carbon Emission Calculator, which can be accessed at https://tinyurl.com/y9vnfpft. A round-the-world flight in economy class corresponds to about 2,000 kg of CO2. For business class it corresponds to about 8,000 kg of CO2.
